Aedes de Venustas

Musc Encensè

- +
The name Musc Encensé is not just a play on words between encens (incense in French) and insensé (crazy in French). Encenser means both to perfume with incense and to praise the heavens. With this ninth creation, Aedes de Venustas fuses its distinctive incense note with a modern interpretation of the legendary Tonkin moss. Suede, slightly animal, incredibly sexy, is Ralf Schwieger's homage to Tonkin musk which joins the unmistakable incense of Aedes de Venustas in a daring mystical and animal accord. To combine smoky and carnal notes, the perfumer adds an amber accord that runs through the fragrance. Clary sage gives aromatic accents in the top notes. The facets of leather, sand and cashmeran wood blend the cold mineral scent of incense with the animal warmth of musk. a nuance of tonka bean mixes with the creaminess of almond milk ... as in a balance between extremes, Musc Encensé will look madly musky one day, furiously incensed the next but will always remain divine.
