Against Nature

- +

Inspired by the 1884 novel by Joris-Karl Huysmans, Against Nature uses the scent of a freshly cut twig mixed with notes of metal, paint and blood.

The perfume takes up the themes of decadence and fallacy underlying the novel and are explored through perfume, which alters the perception of what is real.

It stands on the blurred boundary between natural and artificial.

For this fragrance Tomothy Han collaborated with New York artist Rafael Melendez to create a series of digitally reworked illustrations to reflect the protagonist's fascination in recreating the natural as the artificial.
